Vinification
Produced from the Antão Vaz and Arinto grape varieties, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. Once the grapes have reached their ideal ripeness, they are harvested and transported as quickly as possible to the winery, where the technological process begins: total destemming and light crushing, pressing, cooling and clarification of the must. A part of the batch ferments in stainless steel tanks, and the other part of the batch goes to French oak barrels, at a controlled temperature of 16ºC. After fermentation, the wine ages on fine lees for 6 to 8 months and ages in bottle for 6 months. Finally, it is filtered, blended, tartaric and protein stabilised, finally filtered and bottled.
Tasting notes
Brilliant appearance. Straw colour with slight green reflections. Deep and fine aroma of ripe fruit and toasted bread. Very powerful with great volume in the mouth, associated with a correct acid balance. Very long and fresh finish.
