Pêra-Manca is the brand that Adega Cartuxa [Cartuxa Winery] destines to exception wines. The Pêra-Manca white was produced for the first time in 1990 by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation.

Vinificação
PêraManca is a blend of Arinto and Antão Vaz , planted intheEugénio de Almeida Foundation vineyards . When the grapesreach the right point of maturation they are carefully picked , destalked and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainlesssteel vats and in french oak barrels, at controlled temperature of16ºC . Then the wine matures on the lees for further 12 monthswith battonage and another 12 months in bottle, prior to release.
